ARCTIC is one of the very first companies to enter the PC cooling market back in 2001 (back then it was Arctic Cooling) and perhaps the only manufacturer that has been providing air and liquid GPU cooling solutions to a large number of graphics cards manufacturers. Leaving out such unfortunate and rare incidents however AIO liquid CPU coolers are not only very safe and have gone a long way since their initial introduction in the market roughly 7 years ago but they are also considered especially ideal for use in small cases with not so good airflow levels. We know it will not be easy for EKWB to recall all these units but what really matters is that they didn't try to sweep this issue under the rag so a big bravo to them for this. My question is this: would the coolers four mounting screws fit right into the same holes that the current stock air cooler was using? - Or does this liquid cooler have some kind of a backplate that needs to be mounted on the backside of the mobo first like most AIO's?īecause if it needs a backplate that means a whole tear down and removal of the mobo (since Dell didn't make a cut out section on that side of the case to see the back of the board - which would have been nice). I know this thread is a bit old, and I don't mean to "hijack" it - but I am considering adding this Aurora liquid cooling unit to my air cooled Aurora R7 with a non-k i7 8700.
